Current status: the integrated account-free workflow is not delivered. The open-source project has working local foundations and experimental slices.
The intended Engine contains the Rust CLI, local Workstream storage, runtime worker, repository transactions, Codex/Claude adapters, checkpoints, policy, local Connections/Gateway, Run Targets, Project Secrets, Service Cells, Channels, evidence, checks, Capsules, GitHub export, verifier, and hostile conformance tests. Security-critical isolation is part of the local product, not a Cloud-only feature.
Local Connections support keychain/encrypted-file references, typed connectors, manual rotation, and disable. SQLite and filesystem/object storage are the local defaults. Linux is the asserted boundary target; macOS development mode is weaker unless a separately qualified runtime contract applies. The project uses Apache 2.0 licensing; licensing in the historical HTML is a recommendation, not an unresolved claim about the repository's current license.
Schemas and exports remain open: policy, Connection metadata without secrets, capabilities, events, artifacts, Workstreams, Capsules, and verification keys. Offline verification must not require a Cella account. A complete local trust loop, rather than a runnable CLI alone, is the release gate.
See repository license, CLI, and Core workflow gate.
