Compare candidate changes
Compare a bounded number of isolated alternatives from the same base, then select the exact change you want to keep.

The initial comparison requirement permits at most two isolated alternatives from the same pinned base under equivalent policy, budgets, and checks. Each has its own worktree, branch lineage, Cell, events, artifacts, and budget. Changed-path overlap and dependency conflicts are detected early. There is no shared writable state or uncontrolled multi-agent swarm.
Compare diffs, interfaces, overlap, checks, failures, policy events, evidence gaps, elapsed time, and model/compute cost. A human selects one exact digest. Synthesis creates a new Candidate with explicit provenance; only its selected digest can proceed to proposal. Cella does not declare a universal model winner.
Example: two agents propose different fixes; both pass the same check profile, and the reviewer deliberately chooses one result.
